How Tapestry's grid planning tool is helping Chile meet its ambitious clean energy goals
Tapestry is X's moonshot for electrtic grid
Tapestry's mission is to make the grid visible. It is developing a range of AI-powered tools to make the grid fully visible and manageable to people who plan, build and manage.
Chile's challenge
Chile aims to become fully carbon neutral by 2050. CEN, Chile’s national system operator, lacks the tools they need to plan or manage grid system both renewable and non-renewable energy sources. They are collaborating with us on several tools.

Outcome
Tapestry is accelerating CEN’s transition to a future power by renewables by providing them 2 supporting tools, one for long-term planning and one for short-term planning.
My role
Energy and climate is a new industry for me. I joined Tapestry around the time it kicked off a new project with CEN. With insufficient resources ( no PM at the time) and a tight deadline, I led the design of this new project from scratch to deliverables in two months.
I learned the domain knowledge while working directly with power system engineers, converted raw data to visualized charts, refined and encoded them into a new concept. My goal is to help users make decisions with support of data.
Wearing multiple hats at the same time, I scoped the MVP, drove both product and design roadmaps, and participated to pitch the project to our client for a new contract.
